 * So, this is going to be a weird entry. I watched the first three quarters of season 1, and really liked it - as in, all time personal top 5 liked it. Then I watched the fourth quarter of season 1. They screwed up the pacing very much, in that they ''rushed'' through the ''preliminary round'' of a tournament arc, and then season 1 ended. Treated as a season, it was a rubbish ending. Then season 2 comes along, and actually finishes the tournament with much more reasonable pacing. I'd go so far as to say there's not really any point watching the last 6 episodes of S1 if you aren't going to see S2. With that said, I can see that it doesn't have a great likelyhood of making the schedule, as I'm effectively proposing an 18-episode pseudo-series (S1 E1-18) optionally followed by a 19-episode pseudo-series (S1 E19-24, S2 E1-13) and admitting the start of the second pseudo-series has bad pacing. But, I really really enjoyed this show for the most part, so I'm going to mention it here anyway. If we ever ended up in a situation where screening an 18-episode series wouldn't completely mess up the schedule, I'd recommend we show the first three-quarters of S1, and then decide at that point whether we're collectively interested in watching S2.

* Fun tournament-type show. Some fanservice kind of grates. Not as keen as Max is myself. -MP

* Only 1 episode has aired so far, but seems promisingly interesting and different
** 3 episode retrospective: It's a well-made workplace drama. I'm enjoying it. --maxb

** Anime original magical girl (?) show that is long on symbolism and characterisation at the expense of immediate plot coherency. First episode struck me as slow and incoherent but I've warmed to it a lot thereafter. Essentially a coming of age story about two girls with a lot of psychedelic window dressing thus far. -MP

** I can confirm the first episode was slow and incoherent. Painfully so. I went no further. --maxb

** High paced mystery show about an ensemble cast and supernatural bullshit. Writing is pretty sharp overall but attention is required so should go in an early slot if at all. I'm enjoying it a fair amount but as with all mystery shows it could all fall apart in the end. -MP

** It ranked dead last on http://wrongeverytime.com/2016/10/12/fall-2016-virtually-every-first-episode-retrospective/ - has it redeemed itself in later episodes, or was that review unjust? --maxb

* The third season of Madoka the Gathering but with a new setting and cast. Essentially a dark melodrama about a card game eating your soul or something. The first two seasons were fairly mediocre (Mari Okada is a hack- except for 00 obviously) but the third season has a new writer and is a far more polished and compelling story. I'm aware this is a stretch but if I did push for it I'd suggest we jump straight into the third season- my friend did so happily and no prior knowledge is really required so far. -MP
