Animu: Difference between revisions

Remove "Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu" - it was just slightly too flawed for me to want to continue advocating
Remove "Interviews with Monster Girls" - Fun and nice, but not outstanding enough to be something we revisit now that it's no longer current

*** Aaaaaaand... ugh. It's only episode 4 of S2, and they've run out of content again and are attempting to use lewdness as a substitute for humour. Vote no. --maxb

* I watched an episode and was not impressed. Slow, didn't laugh, and the characters were unsympathetic in an uninteresting way. The only part I enjoyed was the copious butt shots, and they probably count against it in a group setting. --lmm

** Season just ended, comedy/slice-of-life based on there being rare "demi-humans" in society - vampire, dullahan, succubus, yuki onna - and one of each have ended up at the same school this year. Oh, and the biology teacher is a bit of a geek about this and has always wanted to write a paper on them if he could ever meet some. I'm finding it really fun, enough so that it's got me rewatching episodes already. Vampire-chan is awesome. --maxb
** Retrospective thoughts: a school slice of life with a minor thematic twist. Mostly well executed, but a few rough spots clearly stemming from it being an adaptation of an ongoing manga, and the production staff not having the guts or authorization to freely edit character introduction and development to suit the the episode count.

** A school rom-com on the silly side. More amusement than actual romance. The male protagonist is a bit of a bland nothing character, but I think that's basically the point - he's just there to enable the shenanigans. This is the show doing three 4-episode arcs each with a different girl - though, it seems the girls are going to occasionally cross into each other's stories. To my mind this is more slot 4/5 material than slot 6. --maxb
