Sat July 12th - Sunday July 20th or thereabouts (Lmm has to be in Kaş for Mon 21st or just after)
Concept: following the route of the Orient Express, as seen in The Last Express. (Note that this is a different route from that seen in e.g. Agatha Christie's Murder on...).
Plan:
- Saturday 12th: morning Eurostar to Paris, day in Paris, overnight train to Munich (skipping Strasbourg)
- Sunday 13th: day in Munich, overnight train to Budapest (skipping Vienna :/)
- Monday 14th: day in Budapest, overnight train to Belgrade
- Tuesday 15th: day in Belgrade, overnight train to Sofia
- Wednesday 16th: day in Sofia, overnight train/bus to Istanbul
- Thur 17th-Sat 19th: Istanbul! Perhaps staying at the Pera Palas Hotel? (possibly expensive)
Lmm additional:
- Need to be at Antalya airport for ~20:15 to check in (22:15 flight) on Sat 26th
