Lmm is away for 2 weeks on July 16th. So we have 5 weeks to fill: June 11th, June 18th, June 25th, July 2nd, July 9th, i.e. 30 episode-equivalents.
With Samurai Flamenco finished we have:
* 2 episodes of Noragami. OVAs will not be out in time (at least not the second one).
* 4 episodes of Space Battleship Yamato
* 6 episodes of Mekakucity Actors
* 4 episodes of Allison to Lillia
* 16 episodes of Toradora, + utterly terrible OVA
i.e. 32 episodes counting Toradora. If we assume Toradora will continue at its usual pace we require 25 episodes and have 16, so we need 9.
Madoka movies are 4-5 episode's-worth each, as is Time of Eve. The Garden of Words is ~2 episodes, and TO is about 3.5 episodes' worth (spread across two parts). 5cm/s is about 2.5 episodes' worth (spread across 3 parts).
Options:
* Madoka Rebellion and either:
** The Garden of Words + 5cm/s
** TO
* Time of Eve movie and as above
* Macross Zero and as above
** Goes well with TO as Macross Zero episodes are slightly overlength; however, mecha overload
* Freedom and either:
** The Garden of Words
** 5cm/s
** Note: I don't actually think I'd like this much, but somehow feel obliged to list it
* Gundam 0080 and either:
** 5cm/s
** TO (15 minutes over)
* Black Rock★Shooter (1 episode short, perhaps + the first part of 5cm/s)
** I (Lmm) dropped the series, but figured it's worth mentioning in case Lestaki wants to make the case for it.
* BPS marathon! You know it makes sense
* Just start 4-5 new series and watch 2 episodes of each before the break
Descriptions of possible things:
* Madoka Rebellion hopefully needs no introduction
* The Garden of Words is (I hear) a very visually pretty romance series, all lush gardens. Also feet.
* 5cm/s is a somewhat emo romance/drama - it's by the same guy as Voices of a Distant Star if any of you remember that
* TO is a robot thing with bad-looking CGI. Has a very amusing twist (at least when sleep-deprived at 6AM) but not much to recommend it other than that
* Time of Eve is a very well-regarded piece of science fiction about a future with humanlike robots.
* Macross Zero is a Macross series (remember Macross Plus?), so giant robots and singing. This particular incarnation has a bit of an environmentalist/anti colonialist bent and is extremely well animated for its time.
* Freedom is a kids-on-big-motorbikes anime (think Akira), actiony and well-animated
* Gundam 0080 is an older giant robot OVA, with an anti-war theme and some pretty good characters.
* Black Rock★Shooter is some middle school drama mixed with some pretty music-video-style fights. Almost like an anime ''Sucker Punch''.
