Future
Spring 2016 planning:
- Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- The Perfect Insider? GitS: Arise?
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
- Erased (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi)
- Rick and Morty?
- Mysterious Girlfriend X? Ore Monogatari?
Notes thereon:
- すべてがFになる (11)
- I can't understand your moon language
- Everything Becomes F (The Perfect Insider)
- I can't understand your moon language
- GitS: Arise (10?)
- Ore Monogatari (25)?
- I think this has merit (currently have watched 17/25 episodes), though it is the slowish/sentimental sort, so would be improved by careful slot planning. It's nominally romance I suppose, but I'd say "storytelling / character interaction" is a better description of its primary feel. --maxb
- Rick and Morty?
- Does not sound promising --maxb
- I watched the start of episode 1. IMO, it's dreadful :-( --maxb
- I believe the claim was that one should skip the first episode, but eh.
- I managed to watch 3m40s of episode 2 before I dropped it. --maxb

- I watched the start of episode 1. IMO, it's dreadful :-( --maxb
- Does not sound promising --maxb
- The show from Adult Swim?
- Yes
- Mysterious Girlfriend X?
- (AIM) - I've added this to my Crunchyroll queue after reading a rather eloquent review.
- This show is weird. --maxb
- Well, I finished episode 1. It felt awkward in multiple ways. I read http://www.themanime.org/viewreview.php?id=1508 - whilst technically a 4/5 review, there were quite a few things said (in the "The show is far from perfect though ..." paragraph) which left me lacking hope that it can rise above awkwardly weird. --maxb
- Erased (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi)
- (AIM) - I've seen the first 3 episodes, and considered it schedule-worthy.
Other possible things:
- Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
- I've only seen the 1st (double-length) episode so far, but I'm already considering it schedule-worthy --maxb
- Now five episodes in, I still rate this very highly. --maxb
- Nodame Cantabile (23+1,11+1,11+1)
- JoJo
- Panty and Stocking?
- Does not sound promising --maxb
- Shimoneta?
- The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
- (AIM) A movie that rather convincingly explores what a schoolgirl would use time-travel for. Contains neither fighting nor world-shaking outcomes.
- I didn't like that very much --Lmm
- Serial Experiments Lain
- I've heard enough bad things about this --Lmm
- GATE (24)
- The pacing of the initial few episodes was a bit slow. However, it really got enjoyable after that, and as we move into the second cour, it's really showing promise. Also, intrigue. Explosions. Dragons. The most hilarious military character ever. I think it's a candidate. --maxb
- Black Lagoon
- This is good but me and Mark have already seen it --Lmm
- Utawarerumono (the first series)
- (AIM) - A solid action show with ignorable harem elements. Leadership. Statesmanship. Lots of villages get burned.
- I'm fairly sure the second season solely exists to troll the people who watched the first season.
- (AIM) - A solid action show with ignorable harem elements. Leadership. Statesmanship. Lots of villages get burned.
- I don't remember much about this show but I do remember dropping it --Lmm
- Akagami no Shirayuki-hime (12)
- (AIM) - A somewhat simplistic romance show. Warm feelings instead of angst. Which is probably why I liked it.
- Season 2 incoming this Winter
- I've now seen four episodes and really like it. Alasdair is drastically underselling it with the "somewhat simplistic romance" comment, as IMO that's not really the point of the show - to me it's more like a story about town and palace life that happens to contain romance elements as part of its framing. --maxb
- Gundam Unicorn (7) (really awkward to fit in a schedule, but I've heard so much good about it)
- Chihayafuru S2
- How many of us have seen S1? I support Chihayafuru as a great show, but feel that people watching S2 without having seen S1 would be missing out on a lot.
Special candidates
- Blood Blockade Battlefront last episode
- Gunbuster
- Girls und Panzer the film (after we've watched the series, assuming it's sufficiently well liked)
- Garakowa: Restore the World - a 1h film from Winter 2016, pretty, good music, and interesting enough, though did leave me questioning why they handled the paxcing the way they did.
