Sat July 12th - Sunday July 20th or thereabouts (Lmm has to be in Kaş for Mon 21st or just after)

Concept: following the route of the Orient Express, as seen in The Last Express. (Note that this is a different route from that seen in e.g. Agatha Christie's Murder on...).

Plan:

• Saturday 12th: morning Eurostar to Paris, day in Paris, overnight train to Munich (skipping Strasbourg)
• Sunday 13th: day in Munich, overnight train to Budapest (skipping Vienna :/)
• Monday 14th: day in Budapest, overnight train to Belgrade
• Tuesday 15th: day in Belgrade, overnight train to Sofia
• Wednesday 16th: day in Sofia, overnight train/bus to Istanbul
• Thur 17th-Sat 19th: Istanbul! Perhaps staying at the Pera Palas Hotel? (possibly expensive)

Lmm additional:

• Need to be at Antalya airport for ~20:15 to check in (22:15 flight) on Sat 26th
• Plan A: Stay in Antalya for a while.
• On Sun 20th:
  • leave Eskisehir at 16:00 to get to Konya at 18:00
  • therefore need to take the 13:35 bus from Bursa, unless alleged through running to an Istanbul suburb actually starts.
  • therefore need to be on the 10:40 ferry to Bursa, and that's a relatively tight connection - the 8:30 might be better.
  • So stay the night in Konya? Unless through-running starts in which case I can get the train that arrives in Konya at 10:00 and it's all good.
